Video Mapping

Abstract: Video mapping captures a process through a camcorder at the site of occurrence and allows a team to view the process as though they are at the site themselves. This process allows a team to practice shop floor improvements aka Genba Kaizen.

The presentation will consists of tools to prepare for a Video Mapping session, who to bring to the meeting and what to expect as an end result. A mock Video Mapping session will also be conducted.

Speaker: Kenneth Nguyen graduated in 2010 with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from California Polytechnic University of Pomona. He is a life time member of PI TAU SIGMA an International Mechanical Engineering Honor Society since 2009. Since 2010 he has been working for Wilden Pump and Engineering as a Manufacturing Engineer.

Kenneth has a hands-on approach on any challenges and is a mechanic at heart. His major role at Wilden Pump and Engineering deals with the design and creation of automated processes.  Kenneth is keen in applying the tools and philosophy from Lean Manufacturing in his day to day work place. Some of the work that Kenneth also performs at Wilden Pump includes but are not limited to 3D modeling, Finite Element Analysis, Kaizens, Video Mapping, Value Stream Mapping, test equipment creation and streamlining the manufacturing process and area.
