Director of Clinical Research Operations – Monrovia, CA
Oncology clinic needs someone to ensure federally-funded projects are completed on time, in scope and on budget. This person will work with Principal Investigators, Project Directors, CRCs, Clinical Data Analysts and report to the head of operations.
The Director of Clinical Research Operations will serve as the primary administrator and grant manager for the research base grant, will lead the operations for cancer care delivery research efforts and will provide indirect management to clinical trial team staff coordinating federally-funded clinical trials, with a focus on ensuring team(s) are aware of the unique considerations associated with these trials. S/he will also provide oversight and direction to the biostatistics and annotation office tissue bank, database research program and efforts associated with compliance with ClinicalTrials.gov mandates. The Director of Clinical Research Operations will ensure that the goals and objectives are accomplished within the period of performance and funding parameters and in compliance with current grant policies and other relevant funding agencies’ policies. S/he will direct the workflow of staff involved in grants and projects and oversee time and effort allocation and financial management of grants and projects under his/her purview.
Qualifications for Director of Clinical Research Operations position
• 5-10 years clinical research-related experience.
• At least 3 years experience managing others in a similar environment.
• Experience working in and strong understanding of clinical trial operations.
• Demonstrated ability to supervise and manage clinical operations staff.
• Must be competent in all components of Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent written and oral communications skills, a service orientation and outstanding interpersonal skills are essential.
Preferred Qualifications
• Nursing or other medical degree
• Experience with an oncology practice
